In Florida Volusia County Sherrifs are Looking out for a Bank Robber

A man slid a note demanding money to a Deltona bank teller Thursday afternoon and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. No gun was displayed and no one was injured during the brief encounter. The man was last seen running toward a gas station across the street from the bank.

1:30 p.m., bank employees from Bank of America, 2745 Elkcam Blvd., called the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office to report that a man had just robbed a teller, and even had his own bag with him to carry away the money. Within two minutes of being dispatched, the first of about 20 deputies arrived on scene to set up a perimeter and canvass the area. Also joining the search were K-9 units and a Sheriff’s Office helicopter. However, the suspect had slipped away.

The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 5’6” to 5’9” tall and weighing about 160 to 180 pounds. He is believed to be in his early to mid-30s. He wore a dark wool cap with some type of logo on it, sunglasses and a sweatshirt with a high zip-up collar.

There are 3 basic types with standard of proof
There are essentially three standards of proof applicable in most court proceedings. In criminal and delinquency cases, the offense must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt, the highest standard. In civil cases and neglect and dependency proceedings, the lowest standard applies by a mere preponderance of the evidence (more likely than not). In some civil cases, and in juvenile proceedings such a permanent termination of parental rights, an intermediate standard applies: proof by clear and convincing evidence.
